Understand the Flower Catalogue + Bringing your flowers into BLUME

The flower catalogue is the heart of Blume. It holds every variety you buy, your wholesale price for it and the unit your supplier sells it in, and every quote, recipe and supplier order is built from it.

Each flower has two wholesale prices, low season and high season. When you use that flower in a quote or a recipe, Blume applies your markup to the price automatically, so every event lands on the margin you set. Keep the prices current: after each event, check your supplier invoices and update anything that has moved. An underestimated flower cost comes straight out of your profit.

In this video Sarah adds a variety from the Flower Database page, sets both prices and the purchasing unit (stem, bunch, bag, or a custom unit), and shows how to edit a flower later from the three-dot menu. She also covers two things florists ask about: you can override a catalogue price inside one quote without changing the catalogue, and you can add a new variety on the spot while quoting and it is saved for next time. You do not need to build the catalogue before you start. Quote your first event and it builds itself.
